Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: Very Good. No Jacket. 5th or later Edition. ANATOMY OF THE HUMAN BODY BY HENRY GRAY 26TH EDITION EDITED BY CHARLES MAYO GOSS 1955. Over the years, the book: "Gray's Anatomy" has grown in size. It reached a point, at least in my experience, where the size was unwieldy and put great strains on the integrity…of the binding. I am presenting here one of those copies which has more or less survived the stress of its own size. Please find": "Anatomy of the Human Body" by Henry Gray, in its Twenty-Sixth Edition, edited by Charles Mayo Goss. This large hard cover book (7 x 10 ½ x 2 ¾ inches, 1480 pages) was published by Lea & Febiger of Philadelphia, dated 1955 (a reprint of the 1954 edition). It is bound in blue simulated leather boards with gilt titles on the spine. The book is very well illustrated, with 1202 illustrations, mostly in color and all printed on bright white glossy pages. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is a good deal of surface rubbing to the hard covers which are dust-dulled and edge worn but still quite intact and fairly attractive. Inside there are no ownership notations but I did find some small, inked remarks and underlining in the early pages about embryology, there but nothing extreme. Otherwise, the interior pages and many plates are clean and bright, without toning or foxing. Both hinges are still intact although the front hinge seems strained, and the binding is a bit loose and canted in different directions (it will need careful shelving to arrest this issue). This book is not ex-library or a remainder. Various (illustratore).

Hardcover. Condizione: As New. Condizione sovraccoperta: As New. First Edition. "The Privilege Against Self-Incrimination: Its Origins and Development" is presented as a hardcover First Edition in Like New condition, with a crisp dust jacket that shows just a touch of shelf wear. Authored by R. H. Helmholz, Charles M. Gray, John… H. Langbein, Eben Moglen, Henry E. Smith, and Albert W. Alschuler, this comprehensive exploration challenges the conventional accounts provided by John Henry Wigmore and Leonard W. Levy.In this prime condition, the book stands as a testament to meticulous care, preserving the covers in excellent shape and the binding square and tight. Minor abrasion on the front flyleaf is the only blemish, while the interior pages remain pristine, free from markings. The dust jacket, with only a touch of shelf wear, complements the overall condition, enhancing its authenticity. The privilege against self-incrimination, traced back to at least the twelfth century, undergoes a nuanced exploration, covering its medieval origins, appearance in English common law, translation to the American colonies, and transformation into an effective safeguard for criminal defendants in the nineteenth century. The authors critically examine its development, challenging the notion of the privilege as an unchanging tenet and revealing its diverse legal consequences throughout history. This book, constituting a major revision of our understanding of this fundamental aspect of both criminal and constitutional law, invites readers to immerse themselves in the complex evolution and legal implications of the privilege against self-incrimination.
