The biggest problem is that most of the photographs have separated from the long strip that once bound them. Extremely rare; OCLC shows the Minnesota Histo…rical Society and Columbia U. with the only other known copies as of August, 2024. Rare early photographs of St. Anthony Falls, Silver Cascade, Fountain Cave, Barn Bluff at Red Wing, Maiden Rock, Lake Pepin, Interior Fort Snelling, Dalles of the St. Croix River, Minnehaha Falls, Chippewa Indians, Castle Rock near Farmington, White Bear Lake, Chester Creek Falls ("Near Lake Superior"), Lake Calhoun, Sugar Loaf near Winona, and "Bluffs on the Road to Homer". A wonderful collection of early photographs.
