Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. 1st ed. 2022. This open access book provides a comprehensive treatment of recent developments in kernel-based identification that are of interest to anyone engaged in learning dynamic systems from data. The reader is led step by step into understanding of a novel paradigm that leverages the power of machine learning without losing sight of the system-theoretical principles of black-box identification. The authors' reformulation of the identification problem in the light of regularization theory not only offers new insight on classical questions, but paves the way to new and powerful algorithms for a variety of linear and nonlinear problems. Regression methods such as regularization networks and support vector machines are the basis of techniques that extend the function-estimation problem to the estimation of dynamic models. Many examples, also from real-world applications, illustrate the comparative advantages of the new nonparametric approach with respect to classic parametric prediction error methods. The challenges it addresses lie at the intersection of several disciplines so Regularized System Identification will be of interest to a variety of researchers and practitioners in the areas of control systems, machine learning, statistics, and data science. This is an open access book.

Hardcover. Condizione: Good. Hardcover. SCARCE. Giorgione Di Castel Chiuso was the pseudonym for Peter Bayley (1778-1823), an English writer and poet. Through his pursuit of music and drama, he was neglectful of finances and ended up in debtor's prison. After his release, he turned his attention to poetry. His fist published poetry was in 1803. In 1820, as Giorgione di Castel Chiuso, he published a volume of verse titled Sketches from St George's-in-the-Fields, containing interesting descriptions of various phases of London life. A second series appeared in 1821. This volume is the Second Series. Small octavo. Good textured dark green cloth covered boards with gilt title to spine. Corners bumped and rubbed, front hinge cracked and repaired; front flyleaf and half-title page are partly loose. Light foxing throughout, though text is bright. Poetry. POE1/2182.

Aggiungi al carrelloPaperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book is a collection of brief sketches and essays, portraying a cross-section of people who live in a relatively obscure area of London in the early 1800s. The author was an Italian artist who had come to England to pursue his art career, and he provides unique and fascinating insights into the lives of those around him. The author describes a motley crew of individuals, from the rakish to the respectable, the struggling to the successful. His keen eye for detail allows readers a glimpse of their hopes and dreams, their successes and failures, and their day-to-day lives. The author's own experiences as a foreigner in England add a layer of complexity to his observations, as he tries to understand the English character and customs. Through the vivid and intimate portraits painted in this book, readers are invited to reflect on the nature of human existence and the challenges we all face in the pursuit of happiness. The book offers a rich exploration of the author's adopted country, providing a valuable historical document of a time and place long past. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
