Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. About the Book: The author of Learn Your Lines has spent over forty years developing a tested and proven line learning technique that blends the art of acting with the science of memory. The reader will master one of the most bedeviling aspects of acting through a systematic approach that e…mploys performance dynamics within a framework that makes the process of learning lines occur automatically. The three exercises in this book, along with accompanying commentary, are designed to lead the actor down a path that will not only improve their ability to learn their lines but will strengthen their overall acting skills. About the Author: After over thirty years as an educator, Steve Cleberg retired as a theatre professor from Somerset Community College in Somerset, Kentucky. While at SCC, Cleberg directed over one hundred plays and taught classes in theatre, acting, directing, playwriting and filmmaking in his capacity as director of the theatre and film program. His plays Radio Suspense Theatre: The First Episode and Radio Suspense Theatre: Fear Between Floors & Lost and Found are both published by Playscripts, Inc. His play The American Parade received its world premiere at the Flashback Theater in Somerset, Kentucky in 2021. Cleberg has written and produced several screenplays including the award-winning films, A Simple Arrangement, Collage and Trade. Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. This theatrical adaptation is derived from four of Anton Chekhov's comical short plays. The unifying factor of the hilarious action of this play is derived from a lecture at a country assembly. The conceit of a simple, rural man being forced by his wife to give a lecture serves as the spine… of action. This reluctant orator's ramblings stray off topic into gossip about those in his community, resulting in dramatizations that poke fun at such human foibles as prejudice, misogyny, arrogance, stubbornness and pride. All of which are hilariously provided within the classical comic devices of misunderstanding, exaggeration and the battle of the sexes. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
