Sono state effettuate osservazioni in classe, è stato analizzato il Progetto Politico Pedagogico e sono state condotte interviste semi-strutturate, che sono state registrate, trascritte dal ricercatore e utilizzate come dati di ricerca. L'intervista era finalizzata ai seguenti obiettivi: ricercare che cos'è la valutazione e la sua importanza; analizzare gli strumenti di valutazione utilizzati per capire se la valutazione viene condotta a fini di apprendimento; conoscere il significato della valutazione dal punto di vista dello studente e dell'insegnante, per comprendere le relazioni tra i soggetti coinvolti nel processo di valutazione.
