Olive green cloth lightly rubbed; faint circular stain to front board; boards decorated with beveled edges; bright gilt stamping to spine and front board; light scu…ffing to boards' fore-edge corners and to bumped spine ends. Gilt top edge; deckle fore-edge and bottom edge. Sewn-in red silk ribbon page marker. Faint toning/foxing to endpapers; light soiling to front pastedown with pas owner's (Harry Gottesfeld) personal bookplate at center; a few light stains, slight foxing, and some soiling to interior leaves. Binding is firm. Addendum which should be inserted at book's rear (per OCLC) is not present.

The book has 128 pages, silk enpapers, tissue guards for the illustrations, and fine paper. The letters are Palmer's correspondence to "Ike" the compiler, Isaac Clothier a longtiem friend and roommate of Palmer's. A very scarce book in near fine condition. Shipping requires insurance.
