It combined a refuge for victims of bombing raids, a community farm and market garden and educational activities directed towards the regeneration of society. Among the contents of this wartime issue of the magazine are "Meditation on Heine" by Murry, "When It's Thursday" by Jack Common and "The Little Grave" by Glyn Jones.
