Michelangelo Conoscenti (1964) imparte clases de Lengua Inglesa y Traducción en la Universidad de Turín. Sus investigaciones se centran principalmente en la integración teórico-práctica entre los procesos de negociación intercultural y los de la comunicación mediata. Sus recientes publicaciones en esta área son Language Engineering and Media Management Strategies in Recent Wars, 2004, Virtual Diplomacy: a case study of conversational practices in an intercultural setting, 2004 y Diplomat talk as intercultural communication, 2001. Es codirector del proyecto internacional Microdiplomacia. Ha coordinado además diversos proyectos de investigación financiados por los Programas Europeos Lengua y Leonardo.
