This work is the story off the Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes Railroad, a wonderful little railroad. The author uses documented stories about the development of the lines which eventually combined to form the Railroad under the stock manipulation of Josiah Maxcy. He also contains facts taken from the official reports, financial statements, minutes of stockholders meetings, timetables, equipment rosters, newspaper accounts, and actual interviews with men who made the little two-footer run. The book contains photographs, illustrations, tables, line drawings; with two folded maps in rear pocket. The name of the former owner of the book is on the FFEP; otherwise, this copy is clean and solid.
