THE FIVE ILLUSTRATIONS ADDED IN THIS EDITION…ARE BY JOHN JELLICOE. ALL ILLUSTRATIONS ARE HAND COLOURED AND TISSUE GUARDED. TISSUE GUARDS ARE FOXED. POSSIBLY THE 1890 EDITION? INTERNALLY GOOD FOR AGE. THE EDGES OF THE BLOCK ARE VERY TANNED BUT THE TEXT AND ILLUSTRATIONS ARE TIDY. THE END PAPERS ARE VERY BROWNED AND THERE IS THE SIGNATURE OF A PREVIOUS OWNER ON THE FRONT END PAPER. HINGES CRACKING INTERNALLY. THE HARD RED COVERS ARE POOR. VERY FADED. WORN ON EDGES AND CORNERS. GUTTERS OF SPINE ARE SPLIT AND FRAYED. TOP AND BOTTOM OF SPINE CHIPPED AND WORN. PLEASE SEE PHOTOGRAPHS AND ASK FOR MORE IF NEEDED.MIGHT MAKE A RE-BIND PROJECT. OVER 1KG. PROBABLY NOT WORTH SENDING ABROAD.
