[16p] most blank, 6x7 inches, warm lengthy inscription to Beat editors and historians Arthur Knight & his wife and coeditor Kit signed as Rlene and dated Feb. 1977, a single poem on two pages, dedicated to Bob & Lee Howell [parents?] light toning to covers, otherwise a very good first edition chapbook in stapled tan printed wraps. Howell-Dahlberg had divorced Edward Dahlberg in 1967. E. Dahlberg died the year of this publication. She was an educator and editor/publisher. None located in OCLC as of 4/2025. The inscription to the editors of "The Beat Diary" gives thanks for receiving that book from them and praises it, pointing especially to "some great pictures of Huncke". She also states that this chapbook was her first effort on the press.…

Loose 7" x 10" sheets consisting of a title page, dedication, 14 pages of text, the limitation page, and 2 etchings by Aubrey Schwartz, housed in a green cloth clamshell box. In addition to the 2 etchings there are 3 smaller etchings in the text. Copy #7 of only 50 numbered copies SIGNED by both the author and the artist. Dahlberg was the wife of author Edward Dahlberg and the person perhaps most responsible for the publication of Frank McCourt's ANGELA'S ASHES. Fine in a lightly soiled, close to Fine box.
