Soft cover. Condizione: As New. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1 pages. Published in 1986. Rare Kurt Deitrick and male erotic photography collectible item. An original vintage color photographic print of an unidentified blond athlete, as photographed by Kurt Deitrick. It is one of Deitrick's most (inadvertently) inspired male nudes ever. The print is considerably larger, at 5 X 7 inches, and is encased in a protective plastic sheet. It shows the handsome, hirsute yet clean-cut model in one of Deitrick's single most beautiful images. It is a conventional nude pose, except for one brilliant touch: His right foot is raised and his white sock is visible. It is unconscious on the part of the photographer that a male nude which shows a sock (just one, not the pair) alludes to two erotic elements: The single-letter difference between "sock" and "cock" and the almost-identical sound of "sock" and "suck". All three words have multiple meanings, the sexual ones being slang. This is not a digital print or a later, contemporary print but was printed directly from the original negatives in the 1980's, at the time of first publication. Beautifully developed, with great clarity and warm tones, on Kodak Photographic Paper. This is the genuine article, an absolute "must-have" collectible, not just memorabilia, item for Kurt Deitrick and male erotic art photography collectors. This original vintage color photographic print is now collectible. As far as we know, this is the only copy of the print available online, is eminently suitable for framing, and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright. A rare copy thus. One of the best American male-nude images of the 20th century. A fine collectible print. no.

Soft cover. Condizione: As New. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1 pages. Published in 1980. Rare David Ashfield and Kurt Deitrick collectible item. An original vintage color photographic print of David Ashfield, photographed by Kurt Deitrick. David Ashfield was one of Kurt Deitrick's most celebrated models, one of the most popular male-nude models of the 1980's, and one of the sexiest ever. The print is considerably larger, at 5 X 7 inches, and is encased in an oversize protective plastic sheet. It shows the boyishly handsome, lean, muscular, and well-endowed David Ashfield at the peak of his beauty in one of his most beautiful poses, a full-frontal, fully erect shot. Why beautiful? According to Peter Hujar, the (still controversial) erection is the human male body in its most beautiful state. It is the "middle" state between normal/"soft" and orgasmic/"explosive", when the human male, not just the body, becomes "state-less", however fleetingly. This is not a digital print or a later, contemporary print but was printed directly from the original negatives in the 1980's, at the time of first publication. Beautifully developed, with great clarity and warm tones, on Kodak Photographic Paper. This is the genuine article, an absolute "must-have" collectible, not just memorabilia, item for David Ashfield, Kurt Deitrick, and erotic art photography collectors. This original vintage color photographic print is now collectible. As far as we know, this is the only copy of the print available online, is eminently suitable for framing, and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright. A rare print thus. One of the iconic American male-nude models of the 20th century. A fine collectible print. no.

Kurt Deitrick worked with Bruce of Los Angeles until Bruce's death. He started Kensington Studio in 1974 and sold Bruce's photos a short while after. Bruce Harry Bellas (July 7, 1909 July 1974) who became well-known under the pseudonym Bruce of Los Angeles, was an American photographer who was influential in his work with male physiques and nudes. In 1947, he began photographing bodybuilders in Los Angeles, California, beginning with taking pictures of bodybuilding competitions. In 1956, Bellas launched his own magazine, The Male Figure. Among physique photographers, Bellas' work was noted for having a distinctly campy, tongue-in-cheek sensibility. He also produced a number of early homoerotic 8 mm films.
