The plates show previously unpublished comic illustrations to Book II of Virgil's Aeneid, executed in 1886 when the artist was about thirteen. No. 13 of a limited edition of 150 copies, signed by Harold Hartley beneath the limitation. Edges and corners of boards slightly worn, and spine toned; the first plate somewhat browned, and slight browning to edges of some other plates. Bookplate of Charles W. Berry inside front board.
