Die vorliegende Ausgabe ist mit schönen Ansichten der römischen Altertümer ausgestattet. Der Kunsthistoriker Franz Xaver von Reber (1834-1919) habilitierte an der Universität München und wurde 1875 dort Direktor der Staatsgalerien. Reber forschte im Besonderen zur Kunst der Antike und zur Geschichte der Architektur. Mit goldgeprägtem RTitel und goldgeprägter Tempelruine, Vorder- und Rückdeckel mit ornamentaler Blindprägung und goldgeprägter VDeckel-Illustration. Einband berieben und bestoßen.
