This book delves into the effects of magnetic leakage in current transformers, a factor often overlooked but of paramount importance in understanding these devices' behavior. The author provides a detailed analysis of leakage reactance, its impact on primary and secondary currents, and its influence on the core flux distribution. Through meticulous experimentation, the author unveils the complex relationship between leakage fluxes and the overall performance of current transformers. They demonstrate how leakage fluxes can alter the transformer's ratio and phase angle, affecting its accuracy in measuring current. The book's significance lies in its comprehensive examination of a previously underexplored aspect of current transformers. By shedding light on the effects of magnetic leakage, this book empowers engineers and researchers with a deeper understanding of transformer operation, enabling them to design and utilize these devices with greater precision and efficiency. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
