Soft cover. Condizione: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Scientific papers with numerous illustrations, charts, photographs, and the like. Also includes separate supplement called "The Electrical Discoveries of Joseph Henry" by H. S. Osborne and A. M. Dowling. Cracked spine but pages still firmly bound in. Pages lightly tanned. A little water staining or wrinkling along the top edges of papers. Name and department of previous owner handwritten at the top edge of the front cover. Covers soiled with tanning and foxing (tan spotting). Wear to edges and corner tips. Worn but still entirely usable. Will be bubble-wrapped and carefully packed in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit. This issue includes: "Henry as an Electrical Pioneer" by Bancroft Gherardi; "The Cesium-Oxygen-Silver Photoelectric Cell" by C. H. Prescott, Jr. and M. J. This volume comes from the Broadcasting collection of Prof. Chris Sterling. Sterling was a professor of media and public affairs at George Washington University and an avid book collector.
