Soft Cover/Sheet Music. Condizione: Near Fine. First Edition, First Thus. 5-page sheet music. Piano with English lyrics. "Tzena, Tzena, Tzena" is a Hebrew folksong that was transformed to a popular hit after World War II. Set to music in 1941 by Issachar Miron (1920 -), a Polish emigrant to what was then the British Mandate of Palestine, now Israel; Hebrew lyrics by Yechiel Hagiz. The English lyrics, recorded 1946 on Decca Records by The Weavers, who, before the Decca recording, first performed it in Hebrew --- lyrics in English is best regarded as another "version" rather than a translation. Subsequent notable recordings include those of Pete Seeger and Vic Damone.
