Original illustrated self wrappers, lightly soiled, internally excellent. 20 pp. The text contains lyrics to songs, with illustrations to match, from Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore which had premiered in 1878 and was then extremely popular in both the United States and England. The lyrics printed here have one stanza with the original words and a second stanza promoting Sapolio soap. There are two slightly different versions of this piece. This state, which appears to be more common and likely slightly later, shows the company's address as 22 Park Place on the last page. It also has the lyrics printed in white space under the illustrations. The other state shows the address as 440 to 444 West Street and has the lyrics printed on a gray background which are continuations of the illustrations.…
