One of 175 copies, printed in Brook type on Arches Eragny watermarked paper. 12mo., bound by the important American bookbinders Stikeman in full brown morocco, with their stamp on the verso of the front free endpaper, tooled in gilt with a decorative gilt roll border of leaves and two gilt fillet borders, corner pieces on both sides of gilt fleurons, dots, flowers and tendrils, spine in compartments with raised bands and lettered in gilt, panels with gilt tooling, spine rubbed at joints, otherwise very good. Sturge Moore's book is dedicated to Sybil Pye, the great woman binder, who was a school mistress. For details of her close relationship with Sturge Moore see 'Women Bookbinders 1880-1920' by Marianne Tidcombe. Booklabel of Helmut Friedlander, a renowned New York lawyer, banker and book collector whose collection was sold at Christie's in 2001.
