Lettre de l'émeutier Victor Amédée de La Fage, marquis de Saint-Huruge, agitateur politique, membre de la Société des Cordeliers, lié à Danton. Très rare lettre écrite de prison [ayant excité une insurrection violente à propos du… « veto », il engagea le peuple à se porter à Versailles ; la commune le fit arrêter]. Il se plaint de son incarcération au châtelet."J'espère que la Commune de Paris a rendu justice à la conduite ferme et inébranlable que j'ai tenu, depuis que je suis détenu au Châtelet le lieu le plus infâme qui existe dans l'univers ; cela n'empêche pas qu'on ne m'y députe tous les jours des gens pour me tirer les vers du nez, mais je les ai persiflé si cruellement avec le plus grand sang froid que leur visite n'a pas été longue. Je réponds aujourd'huy et je n'en ai jamais douté que les monstres aristocratiques n'en seront pas quitte pour la peur [.]. Je ne vous cacheray pas que mes jambes sont fort enflées et qu'un corps comme le mien a besoin du grand air []". Agitateur politique, membre de la Société des Cordeliers, lié à Danton. Incessant émeutier, il fut rejeté par tous les partis et Robespierre le fit emprisonner sous la Terreur.
