El pragmatismo político de Richelieu y luego la actitud vacilante de Luis XIV condenaron fatalmente la obra de Port-Royal; no así su legado y prestigio. A la abadía estuvieron vinculados Pascal, Racine, Arnauld, Phillipe de Champaigne. En los últimos 150 o 200 años no se ha publicado nada en español sobre este tema.
