The 4 by 7 inch hardcover book is 222 pages and in good condition. The red cloth boards are clean and have sharp corners, but the spine is faded. The inside pages are without markings. However, it is from the Smithsonian library with call number tag to the spine and barcode to the back cover with associated stamping on the front free end page, dated 1976. This is Daniel Boorstin's copy, with bookplate present inside. Daniel J. Boorstin was the twelfth librarian of congress from 1975 until 1987, appointed under President Ford. He was also an accomplished author of more than 20 books, contributing much to the fields of sociology and history. He was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1973, for his book, "The Americans: The Democratic Experience.".

A real time piece in that it exemplifies old-fashioned constituent service and how the buck stops at the mayor's deak., Ah, the good ole'days! Included is a 4 page pamphlet reproducing remarks by Judge Hubert Delany on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of La Guardia's death. La Guardia (1882 - 1947) served as the 99th Mayor of New York City from 1934 to 1945.
