Ellen Mary Walker, (1913-2005), was in all probability conceived on board the 'Titanic'. Her father was Henry Samuel Morley, a married man aged 40, her mother was Kate Florence Phillips, 20. Henry was a successful shop-owner, Purveyors of High Class Confectionery, and Kate was a shop-assistant in one of his shops. They were secretly sailing on the 'Titanic' as second class passengers to begin a new life in America, under the names of Mr and Mrs Marshall. Unfortunately, he was one of those lost with the ship. Kate gave birth to Ellen on January 11, 1913. D/w has some slight edge chipping; else a fine copy, in a near fine d/w, of a SCARCE first edition, first printing SIGNED TWICE BY THE AUTHOR AND SIGNED BY ELLEN MARY WALKER. D/w now protected by a detachable, non-adhesive, clear sheaf. Signed by Author and Ellen Mary Walker.
