Softcover. First Edition. Vintage original 8" x 10" black-and-white single weight glossy silver gelatin print still photo from the 1956 drama directed by Robert D. Webb, starring Guy Madison, Virginia Leith and John Hodiak. It was Hodiak's final film; he died six months before it was released. On the Threshold of Space provides a historical depiction of air force tests made in the United States for the imminent space race. Very Good with some handling and creasing at the edges.

Revised Shooting Final script for the 1956 film. Dramatic depiction of tests actually conducted on ejection seats of Stratojet bombers in Florida in the early 1950s. These tests were conducted by the US Air Forces as preparation for space travel. Shot on location at the Air Proving Grounds Command in Florida, and in New Mexico. Director Webb also directed "Love Me Tender" the same year, featuring Elvis Presley's acting debut. Salmon titled wrappers, noted as REVISED SHOOTING FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 1, dated September 9, 1955. Distribution page present, with receipt removed. Title page present, dated September 9, 1955, noted as Revised Shooting Final Script, with a credit for screenwriter Wincelberg. 113 leaves, with last page of text numbered 110. Revised Shooting Final script for the 1954 film. Actor Van Heflin's copy. Includes a 10-page shooting schedule. Loosely based on the St. Albans Raid, the northernmost land action of the American Civil War. The film took great liberties, changing both the time and motivation for the raid. In the film, a group of Confederate POWs escape across the US-Canada border to plan an attack on St. Albans Vermont. They send ahead of them a spy who begins to question the ethics of their mission. Goldenrod titled wrappers, noted as Revised Shooting Final on the front wrapper, dated December 10, 1953. Distribution page present, with receipt removed.
