Wohlgeboren geehrtes Schreiben [.] habe ich richtig erhalten, und daraus ersehen, daß Sie meine übersandten Werke werden stechen lassen, wenn mir die Bedingungen genehm wären, welche Ew. Wohlgeboren mir gemacht. Es wär…e sehr undelicat von mir, wenn ich irgend etwas dagegen einzuwenden hätte, indem es das erste mal ist, daß wir ein directes Geschäft machen, und Ihr Wunsch vielleicht ebenso als der meinige ist, daß es nicht das letztemal sein soll [.]". - Johann Wilhelm Gabrielsky lernte bei seinem Vater, einem Offizier der preußischen Armee, Flöte zu spielen, war dann Schüler von August Schroeck, dem Soloflötisten der Berliner Oper, und wurde anschließend Soloflötist am Stettiner Theater, 1816 dann Königlicher Kammermusiker am preußischen Hof.
