(siehe S. 100). - Eine völlig identische Ausgabe jedoch mit verändertem Titelblatt erschien (wohl etwas später) im selben Jahr 1697 ebenso bei Pierre Marteau in Köln unter dem Titel "Polnischer Staat: Oder Eigentliche Beschreibung Des Königreichs Polen Und des Großherzogthums Lithauen.". Der Verleger formulierte den Titel dieser Ausgabe sachlicher und unterließ die "unterschleichende heimliche Französische, Practiquen und Intriguen" zu erwähnen, ergänzte jedoch die Ausgabe mit einem Blatt der "Druck-Fehler", das vorliegende Ausgabe noch nicht enthielt (vgl. VD17 23:242830W; als Farbkopie beiliegend). - Gaspard de Tende (1618-1697, Pseud.: Sieur de Hauteville) war ein französischer Gentleman, der mit Unterstützung der Literatin Madeleine de Souvré, Marquise de Sablé (1599-1678) Pariser literarische Salons besuchte, am Dreißigjährigen Krieg teilnahm (Belagerung von Landau), bevor er bedeutende Teile seines Lebens in Polen verbrachte. Nach französischen Quellen soll er in Polen als Graf von Tende aufgetreten und Intendant am Hofe des Königs von Polen gewesen sein, polnische Quellen geben ihn als Sekretär des Botschafters in Polen (1674) und als Schatzmeister des polnischen Königs Johann II.
