It read…s as follows: "January 1986 to" Major General James Day USMC from Sig Carlson in rememberance of "Sugar-Loaf Hill" with added blessings and admiration fomr "The Padre" Father Fred Gehring." Probably a gift from the 'indestructable Marine" Sigurd Carlson. What a fascinating association copy involving Sigurd Carlson, Major General James Day and the Padre of Guadalcanal.
