Operative in its preparation was the conviction that some knowledge of all the fishes in the state, including information on the comparative abundance and distribution of each, is essential to an intelligent approach to any program of fish management. . . . This volume is the result of field work in Wyoming during the years since 1933, in which time the author has had opportunities for collecting specimens and observing the fish fauna in its natural condition . . .
