At least six species of Epitonium sensu lato are found associated with mushroom corals (Fungiidae) off Ujung Pandang, Sulawesi, Indonesia. Revised descriptions of E. costulatum (Kiener, 1838) and E. ulu Pilsbry, 1921 based on type specimens and additional material are given. Four new species are described: E. hoeksemai, E. ingridae, E. lochi, and E. twilae. The true identity of E. bullatum (Sowerby, 1844), a species not associated with corals and not found in Sulawesi and nearby areas, is clarified. Examination of type specimens made possible the characterization of nominal species that appear to be either identical with or closely related to the fungiid-associated epitoniids found off Sulawesi. 13 pp., 48 figs, 4.…

A new monoplacophoran species was collected in the northern Atlantic Ocean, east of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge at a depth of 2,162 m. It is tentatively placed in Rokopella, and named R. brummeri. The species resembles R. oligotropha (Rokop, 1972), but has a much finer and predominantly striated sculpture. The description is based on shell morphology only. 8 pp., 10 figs, gr. 8.…

A specimen of Architeuthis was caught on the Fladen Ground, c. 100 miles NE. of Aberdeen (Scotland) in 1982. The animal, a male with a mantle length of 900 mm and a minimum total mass of 18 kg, was probably mature. The radula of a specimen of Allaegopis spec. A was studied. Some detailed photographs could be made, illustrating that many rows of young teeth cannot function because they are not yet fully developed, whereas many rows at the opposite end of the radular ribbon are eroded, the last ones to such an extent that they cannot possibly fulfil a scraping function optimally any more. 6 pp., 7 figs, gr. 8.…

The species of the Pyramidellidae collected during several expeditions in the south-eastern part of the North Atlantic Ocean are listed, with locality data, depth ranges, and notes on nomenclature, systematics and distribution. The samples classified with the genera Eulimella (partly), Anisocycla, Syrnola, Chrysallida and Odostomella are dealt with in this paper. In total 70 species are reported from the research area, 24 of which are described as new to science. A lectotype of Obeliscus gracillima Smith, 1872 (= Eulimella variabilis de Folin, 1870) and neotypes of Chrysallida multicostata (Jeffreys, 1884) and Jaminia obtusa Brown, 1827, are designated.
