Seit dem 15. Jahrhundert ist die Santa Casa von Loreto einer der wichtigsten christlichen Pilgerorte. Die Künstler Davide Cascio und Christian Kathriner haben 2009 eine Arbeit entwickelt, die sich auf diese Legende bezieht. Für die Wallfahrtskapelle Unserer Lieben Frau von Hergiswald, die eine Nachbildung der Santa Casa von Loreto darstellt, entstanden zwei Wandteppiche, Jacquard-Tapisserien, gewoben auf einem CAD-gesteuerten Webstuhl in Flandern. Gezeigt wird auf diesen Teppichen eine Gruppe von Menschen, die am Rande eines Flussbetts zu lagern scheint. Die großformatige Publikation stellt die temporäre Rauminstallation von Davide Cascio und Christian Kathriner vor, die die opulente Ausschmückung der Barockkapelle von Hergiswald aufnimmt, und sie zugleich durch eine zeitgenössische Ästhetik bricht, in eindrucksvollen Farbabbildungen.…
