Featured is a rare still of director Clement brandishing a rifle, and a still of actor Trintignant contemplating the true value of a ten-dollar bill. Loo…sely based on David Goodis' 1954 seminal hardboiled novel "Black Friday," a paperback original. A French fugitive heads for Canada and ends up joining a gang of criminals in the midst of kidnapping the mentally-challenged daughter of a rival crimelord. The plan goes accordingly until the girl accidentally dies. Shot on location in Quebec, Canada, and Hauts-de-Seine, France. Both stills 7 x 9.25 inches, borderless as issued. Ink annotations on the versos, else Near Fine overall.

Cards #2, 4, and 7 all have light general edgewear and some faint creasing at the margins…. Color on all cards extremely bright and unfaded. An attractive set of Lobby Cards from the 1957 film noir based on David Goodis' novel, directed by Jacques Tourneur and starring, Aldo Ray, Brian Keith, and Anne Bancroft. Uncommon.
