Together with brief accompanying text pages. Printed using the coloured woodblock process known as Baxter Printing, by Benjamin Fawcett of Driffield, these bright and attractively coloured prints are often mistaken for chromolithographs. It has been noted that the printing is so subtle that it gives the appearance of a watercolour (Friedman, 1978). The print comes with a backing card, the accompanying descriptive text and is nicely presented in a cellophane sleeve, making a perfect present. IDEAL FOR FRAMING. An Act from the fourth session of the Parliament begun January 1727 and continued to January 1730. The New Churches in London and Westminster Act of 1710 had provided funds for the building of fifty new churches (known as the Queen Anne Churches) from a duty on coal arriving in London. When St George's Church, Gravesend burnt down in 1727, the Commission for Building Fifty New Churches partly funded the construction of a new church, completed in 1731.
