Condizione: Good +. 12½" x 10". Stapled illustrated wrappers. Pp. [24]. Good plus: wrappers chipped at corners and split at tips, moderately worn and soiled; light corner wear and toning at edges throughout. This is a satirical illustrated introduction to Fidel Castro and his regime, issued by what we can only assume are a pair of pseudonymous authors. The title page conveys that the two authors also wrote "First Reader"s of Batista, Peron and Pancho Villa (along with "How to Dismantle Missiles in Spanish") and includes their note: "If you do not like this book, do not throw it away. All the pages (except the cover) are pure bleached Havana leaf tobacco and can be smoked." The text is in English and Spanish throughout, and each page holds a large black and white line drawing, begging to be colored in. The man himself appears first: "In this book I will tell my true story . . . pay very close attention, or you will be shot." One illustration has three identical paper-doll-style outfits of cap, guns, machete and cigar in one hand ("Here is my complete wardrobe. I use it for formal, office and combat wear. Guess which is which.") and another shows bullets, a bomber jet, missile, sugar cane and tobacco: "This is my way of working for peace." A clever coloring book poking fun at Fidel Castro. OCLC shows two holdings.
