[2], 207 pages. Paperback: H 22.75cm x L 17.75cm. Light blue paper covers; toning along spine and at covers' margins; slight creasing along bottom of front covers with stronger crease to rear cover's bottom fore-edge corner. Light toning to text block's top edge; slight soiling to fore-edge. Laid-in between front cover verso and title page is xeroxed letter from Peoria, Illinois compiler Roger Best dated for June 9, 1978 noting the book's availability after a month's delay from the printer and requesting family members sending him additional data for an eventual supplement. Binding is firm. A very good copy. Genealogical research regarding Jacob Best (1800-1873) and Elizabeth Ebberlay who immigrated from Germany to Franklin County, Pennsylvania circa 1840 and later moved to Peoria County, Illinois. The couple had six children with their descendants encompassing collateral lines with surnames of Bosch, Chambers, Cramer, Groeper, Heinz, Hettinger, and related families with scattered residencies including Kansas, New York, Illinois, Colorado, Texas, Kansas, Wyoming, Wisconsin, California, and elsewhere. Evidently a rather scarce genealogy as OCLC only locates copies at five member institutions.
