The narrative is organized around two principal ideas: Kontsevich's Homological Mirror, Symmetry conjecture, and the Strominger-Yau-Zaslow conjecture. The authors explain how Kontsevich's conjecture is equivalent to the identification of two different categories of Dirichlet branes.
