Catalytic effects of these complexes are studied for different types of chemical reactions. Chapter no. 3 focuses on chemical kinetics of BSPA complexes. The standard organic reaction, benzpinacol formation was carried out with and without lanthanide metal complexes. The same reaction was carried out using 1%, 5%, 10% catalytic amounts.
