Da: JP MOUNTAIN BOOKS, PORTLAND, OR, U.S.A.
Prima edizione
Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 1931 stated Second Edition, but this is actually the FIRST EDITION of Climber's Guide To The High Colorado Peaks. The two works were combined into one book. In this case, the Fourteen Thousand Feet part is a second revised printing of the original 1925 original (lots of revisions and additions), and the Climber's Guide by Elinor Kingery is the first edition of that guide, appearing for the first time here (not reprinted), one of the earliest mountaineering guidebooks for Colorado. Original brown staple-bound wrappers with black lettering front, dark brown corners and spine area. The book is in excellent condition (almost new condition) with the clean covers, a very faint mark upper front above title (very hard to see except in raking light), light crease mark to upper front cover corner and first 3 pages, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, solid binding, no foxing -- the best condition example we have encountered in over 40 years of selling used mountaineering books. The book measures 229mm tall x 184mm, and has 71 pages, 16 b/w photos, map, index. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
