The story of a three-month big game photo safari, told in diary form, to Kenya, Uganda and Tanganyika from November, 1953 to March, 1954. This copy in VG to NF condition with the addition of the author's uncommon inked presentation on the first blank endpaper: "And thanks for the elephant's "front" and "rear"--Phil.".

Bryan Company, Columbia, SC. Staats' second safari into Kenya and Tanganyika with professional hunters, Syd Downey and John Kingsley-Heath. Other party hunters included Myles Turner, Donald Ker and Jack Block. They successfully bagged leopard, kudu, oryx and other lesser game. Told in diary form. This copy in good condition with uneven sunning to both covers, mild soiling to front panel and title inked to spine. Some light foxing to rear of frontispiece plate, otherwise internally quite clean. An uncommon item as the OCLC locates but 5 copies.
