From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. British-American screen and television actor and film producer, Henry Wilcoxon, is best known for his relationship with director Cecil B. DeMille, starring in several of the director's films and also serving as DeMille's associate producer on his later films. Wilcoxon appeared in 57 films from 1931 to 1983 and numerous television series from 1963 to 1982. His best remembered performances include "Cleopatra" (1934), "The Crusades" (1936), "Unconquered" (1947), "Scaramouche" (1952), "Against a Crooked Sky" (1975), and "Caddyshack" (1980). 8 x 10 inches. Collection of nine vintage photographs from the 1934 film, including eight studio still photographs and one publicity photograph of Claudette Colbert by photographer Ray Jones. Three of the studio still photographs with mimeo snipes printed on the versos, three photographs with provenance stamps on the verso, and one photograph with newspaper clippings affixed to the versos. The publicity photograph of Colbert has a mimeo snipe and a studio stamp crediting photographer Jones on the verso. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. Cleopatra (Claudette Colbert) uses Julius Caesar to help her gain better control of Egypt until he is killed. After his death she attempts to use Marc Antony in a similar manner.
