Hielkema: Juridisch advies door de rechtsgeleerden J. Herweijer en N. van Burch over leen-opvolging. De Brabantse gebruiken bij leenopvolging hebben in Holland geen rechtskracht, zodat bij de opvolging van lenen ab intestato de oudste zoon, of bij afwezig-heid daarvan, de oudste dochter in alle nagelaten lenen de overleden vader opvolgt, met dien verstande dat de leenopvolger ook zijn erfportie zal genie-ten in het 'restoir' (de aankoopprijs van het leengoed). Aldus geadviseerd in 's Gravenhage 8 november 1602.
