Hourmouziadis Magnesia is a region of Greece where history presents no gaps. This means that man has always been present here sometimes struggling against nature in order to transform its elements into commodities that would ensure his survival. Dwellings of Neolithic farmers, megara of Mycenaean merchants palaces of kings, early Christian basilicas, Byzantine and post-Byzantine churches, old Pellon mansions and Neo-Classical middle class residences, compose the rich heritage of the land of Magnesia. The book is well illustrated with color and black and white photographs, maps, and drawings. Magnesia is in the middle of Eastern Greece. This large format book, 277 pages measuring 282mm X 245mm, is in fine condition. The dust jacket is also in fine condition and the rather flimsy slipcase case is in near-fine condition. This is a magnificent work by several Greek experts on a focused region of the country. This large and heavy volume will require additional postage.
