This book is beautifully bound in a full brown leather binding with 22 kt gold spine and cover decorations.The spine has four raised bands…with five decorated compartments. All edges are gilt, and the book has silk moire end papers with a pink silk ribbon bookmark. The pages are acid-free and they are smyth-sewn, not glued. The publisher classifies this as a "Collector's Edition." There are a few places on the covers where the stamped decorations are missing small portions of the gilt inlay. The spine decorations are intact. There are no owner bookplates or owner names in the book and the book is tight and free of markings.; 100 Greatest Books Ever Written Series; B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 343 pages.
