Size 7½" x 5¼", 338 pages. Bound in red leather with ornate gilt frames on the front and back covers and the emblem of Glenalmond college in gilt on the front cover. Ornate gilt dentelles on the page edges and the inner turn-ins. 5 gilded raised bands to the spine with tooled titles in the second compartment and gilt flowers and foliage in the other compartments. Marbled page edges, pastedowns and endpapers. Condition very good, title label missing from spine, a little discolouration to covers, prize label on front pastedown, contents clean, complete and intact. With black and white illustrations throughout.

Very clean. No inscriptions. A handsome edition. VG+.

The book is bound in green cloth with gold lettering on the spine, showing signs of wear and discoloration. The spine and edges have some fraying, and there is visible wear to the cover. The binding is loose, with some pages showing signs of separation from the spine. The pages are aged, with some spotting and yellowing typical of early 20th-century publications. No dust jacket is present. unknown (no dust jacket visible).
