This…massive exhibition sponsored by the Amtorg Trading Corporation, the official trade office of the Soviet Union in the United States, featured more than 600 works by hundreds of Soviet artists across the disciplines of painting, graphic art and sculpture. Displayed in the catalogue are b/w photographic reproductions of work by such noted artists as Nathan Altman (1889-1970), David Shterenberg (1881-1948), El Lissitzky (1890-1941), Aleksei Ilyich Kravchenko (1889-1940), Yuri Pimenov (1903-1977), and Abram Arkhipov (1862-1930), among many others. Contains b/w lithographic images of some of the graphic artist's works, as well as smaller original lithographic head and tailpieces throughout the publication in black. Includes initial text by art critic Christian Brinton (1870-1942) and P. Novitsky, as well as a complete list of works exhibited. Wrappers with some light foxing and staining to the covers.
