Front hinge broken with rear hinge quite tenuous; missing initial leaves with title leaf (as pages 3-4) immediately opposite front pastedown which has past owner's ink s…tamp at center. Title leaf torn/creased at bottom margin; some interior leaves were roughly separated causing chips and tears mostly at fore-edge margins but occasionally top margins as well. Missing pages 15-18 affecting second article; remainder of book collates as complete. Interior foxing with some stains and soiling. Text block has stress points at quires. At the same time, infrastructure systems in developed countries are deteriorating and in need of renewal. Today, many of the engineering and economic problems surrounding infrastructure construction projects have been solved, but the threat of social misalignments and political conflicts renders the development and management of such projects more challenging than ever before. This book presents a new theoretical framework that allows us to analyze the institutional and social movement processes, both negative and positive, that surround global infrastructure projects as they confront cross-national and cross-sectoral (such as private-public partnerships) institutional differences. The value of this framework is illustrated through a series of studies on a wide range of infrastructure projects, including roads, railroads, ports, airports, water supply and energy pipelines.

Hardcover. Condizione: Good. The cover has red cloth with a goldtone title. 116 pages; the first 80 pages have prose; 27 pages have poetry about the cave's features; the last 8 pages are for notes. The illustration are b/w; some of the captions have different words and in a different order than in the List of Illustrations. One…illustration is not named in the List. Eight of the illustrations are on plates; three of the illustrations are small and on the same type of paper as the text. The boards' front corners and three of the spine strip's corners are threadbare. The cloth has light, shelf wear soiling. Most of the pages have some foxing.
