8vo, cloth and boards. Forty-nine separate song sheets, 184 pp. total (hand-numbered by former owner), previously issued separately, in publisher's binding with printed contents page. Some title pages ornamented. With two further publications, one inscribed. The earliest copyright date in the collection is 1917 and the latest 1928. Roskin, who was born in Belorussia in 1884 and had resided in Germany since 1903, emigrated to the US after living several years under the Nazi regime and reorganized his business under the name Hatikvah Music Publishing Company. Laid in are two publications edited and arranged by Roskin of "New Synagogue Music," published in 1941 under his new imprint. One has an inscription in German by Roskin on the face, written in the year of publication. Such compilations seem to have been issued at various times by Roskin; this one contains more songs than any other examples we were able to find. Good condition, paper quality varies, owner's name on front flyleaf.
