Condizione: Fine. JIni Dellaccio (illustratore). First Edition. Large 4to, 12" x 12" (the size of an LP). Introduction by Barrie R. Jackson Biography by Barry Herem. Essay by Larry Reid. Illustrated with the photographer's full plate photos, color and black-and-white. Signed by Dellaccio with silver paint-pen. Please note: our photos of the printed photos do not convey their clarity. Larry Reid's informed essay comments on "the genius of her [Dellaccio's] imagery and the musicians she so affectionately documented." Part of Dellaccio's genius was capturing garage bands of the Puget Sound area while evoking the Pacific Northwest.Just as "the Northwest Sound" can be identified 50-miles away in a blizzard, so to with Dellaccio's photos: No denying many of those photoshoots took place once the rain stopped. Further, she managed to deliver the visual equivalent of the aggressive, menacing sound of the Sonics, the Wailers, the Raymarks, and others. With a brilliant, Beatles-esque cover photo of an air-born Don Gallucci. Gallucci's Pacific Northwest bands, especially Don and the Goodtimes, are firmly positioned in the pantheon of 1960s garage rock; reverence for Gallucci's raw musical racket was enhanced by his subsequent production of the Stooges "Fun House" (1970). A Fine copy with no detracting issues, housed in the original clear LP record sleeve. Photo-illustrated stiff paper wraps.
