Il fut un théologien très renommmé, ses commentaires concernent essentiellement les saintes Ecritures, et on en fit de nombreuses éditions.Cette édition est une réimpression de l'édition de Tournemire parue en 1729, in folio. Giovanni Stefano Menochio was an Italian Jesuit priest of the 17th century, who died in 1655 in Rome. He was a highly renowned theologian, his commentaries concerned essentially the Holy Scriptures, and numerous editions were made of them.
