Though both of my parents deserve this kind of attention, this small book is focused on my father. I am my father's son. In the most Biblical of ways, I am proud of that fact. What I hope to accomplish here is three fold: I hope to tell lots of folks about my father's amazing life. I want to celebrate what he passed on to me. I want to honor Sam and encourage others to honor their father. I didn't wake up this morning with this plan, but as I sat and drank my coffee, it just seemed like the proper task to undertake.
