Paperback. Condizione: New. (Vintage International). The complete and unabridged text, as corrected and reset in 1961. Like the first American edition of 1934, this edition also contains the original foreword by the author and the historic court ruling by Judge John M. Woolsey to remove the federal ban on the book's stateside publication. The novel stands as perhaps the most dynamically innovative work of fiction of the 20th century, as it records and distributes the lives of several characters within a day's existence in the Dublin of Joyce's mind. (Page references to the 1934 text edition are parenthetically indicated in the margins.) 783p. Pap.
